  • Sessions are not recorded without the patient’s prior, express, and written consent.

  • Telecommunications are not permanently stored or retained.

  • Authorized administrative staff who may be present during a telehealth session (solely in non-clinical technical or administrative support roles) are subject to the same confidentiality and data protection obligations established under HIPAA and IBH’s internal policies.

  • Confidentiality from insurers: If you have paid for your services privately in full, you may request that your information not be shared with your insurance company.

  • Accounting of disclosures: Request a listing of disclosures made outside the usual purposes of treatment and payment.

  • Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to the use of your data at any time through written communication, without prejudice to actions already taken.

  • Electronic format: Request your medical records in electronic format.
